Towrunner provides a digital platform that connects customers needing roadside assistance with independent service providers. As part of our platform, Towrunner offers Location Services that help determine your location through your mobile network or GPS technology.

These services are essential for Towrunner to connect you with nearby users or service providers, calculate accurate ETAs, and ensure safe and efficient dispatch of roadside help. Location data allows Towrunner to identify your position, deliver nearby job opportunities, and share your live location as part of service operations.

Towrunner will always request your consent before accessing or tracking your location. Consent is obtained through a clear opt-in process, explained below.

A. Opting In

By opting in, you agree to the Towrunner Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. You also understand the following regarding your mobile provider’s involvement:

Important Note about Your Cellular Provider (e.g., AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, etc.):
Towrunner is not a mobile network operator. By allowing location access, you authorize your mobile provider to share your location data with Towrunner for service use. Please review your carrier’s terms to understand how your information may be used or disclosed.

You agree that:

  1. Your relationship with Towrunner is independent of your carrier.

  2. Your carrier is not responsible for Towrunner’s services.

  3. You release your carrier and its affiliates from any claims, losses, or liabilities related to your use of Towrunner.

Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for assistance or STOP to cancel. You may receive periodic messages, including opt-in confirmation and reminders.


B. Opting Out

You may opt out of location tracking at any time by turning off location permissions in your device settings or replying STOP to any Towrunner location service message.

However, disabling location access may limit your ability to use certain app features or receive service offers.

D. Protecting Your Privacy

Towrunner values transparency and privacy. Location data is only used when necessary to connect users and providers or to monitor active service requests.

We retain this data only as long as required for service completion, typically up to one year. When you’re not actively providing or receiving services, Towrunner may temporarily collect your location to identify nearby opportunities — retained for no longer than 60 days.

E. Service Accuracy

Towrunner strives to ensure location accuracy, but factors such as terrain, network strength, or signal interference may affect precision. Location accuracy can vary depending on your device and environment.


F. Sharing of Information

By opting in, you grant Towrunner permission to collect and use your location information for the purposes described here.

Towrunner does not sell or share location data with third parties, except when necessary to complete an active service you have requested or accepted. In such cases, your location may be visible on a live map only during the active job and only to relevant users or providers.


G. Limitation of Liability

You acknowledge and agree that Towrunner, its affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and partners are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

  • Use or inability to use Location Services,

  • Inaccurate location data,

  • Service interruptions, or

  • Unauthorized access to your data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so these limitations may not apply to you.
